Qontigo’s partner APG has received a prize at this year’s Pensioen Pro awards for its pioneering work in the pensions sector, following the firm’s introduction of the iSTOXX APG World Responsible Investment (RI) Indices.
The indices were launched jointly by APG and Qontigo in September 2021 and use data from the Sustainable Development Investments Asset Owner Platform (SDI AOP). The SDI AOP, of which APG is a co-founder, helps investors assess companies based on their contribution to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The iSTOXX APG World Responsible Investment indices incrementally ‘layer in’ ESG, carbon and Sustainable Development Investments (SDI) ambitions. Each index employs Qontigo’s line of Axioma portfolio optimization tools in order to minimize tracking error versus a broad market index and maximize the various sustainability objectives.
APG’s pension-fund clients and others can use the indices to measure and report on the impact for each individual sustainability criteria, and to channel investments into the SDGs and other responsible objectives.
Qontigo manages the iSTOXX APG World Responsible Investments indices and is distributor of the SDI AOP data.
