Zug (March 4, 2021) – Qontigo’s index provider STOXX received an Index of the Year award from Structured Retail Products (SRP). The award honors the Euro iSTOXX Ambition Climat PAB Index.
This index was developed last summer in partnership with Amundi, who uses it as a benchmark for a major mandate.
“The launch of our STOXX Climate Transition Benchmark, CTB, and STOXX Paris-Aligned Benchmark, PAB set new standards in 2020. It’s a great honor for us that the iSTOXX Ambition Climat PAB Index has now been chosen to be the Index of the Year by SRP. This award underscores our ambition to offer an entire Sustainable Investment Ecosystem with indices that meet specific sustainable investment goals, and, at the same time, increase liquidity and lower trading cost.”Rodolphe Bocquet, Global Head of Sustainable Investing of Qontigo

Starting in March 2021, companies that have not established verified targets will be incrementally underweighted. From March 2025, the EURO iSTOXX Ambition Climat PAB index will only include companies that have their targets verified and published by the SBTi. The index is designed to help investors shift towards a low-carbon economy and align investments to the Paris Climate Agreement.
SRP conducted a comprehensive survey of the market in November 2020. Contenders also had to provide a short essay. The winners were selected by an independent panel of judges convened and chaired by SRP. Criteria for the “Best index” award were product innovation, product performance, and
