STOXX has received two new awards for its products and work with the structured-products industry. Structured Retail Products (SRP) awarded STOXX the mention of ‘Best Index Provider’ at this year’s SRP Europe Conference, which took place on Feb. 6-7 in London. Roberto Lazzarotto, Global Head of Sales at STOXX, was named ‘Personality of the Year.’ The publication polled its readership and collected hundreds of votes to name the winners.
The awards are a gratifying recognition and a testament to the innovation of our products, especially, in this case, the STOXX Select Diversification Solutions (SDS) indices. This index family was introduced as a result of the challenge that structured-products issuers faced with record-low interest rates.
“We feel much honored to have these awards from SRP,” Lazzarotto said. “This is the result of STOXX’s commitment to its customers and the industry as a whole to deliver added value in the market with our innovative approaches. I am personally very proud of the amazing STOXX team.”
The 16th SRP Europe Conference was attended by delegates from almost 120 companies stemming from over 23 countries. Participants came from investment banks, insurance companies, asset managers, hedge funds, law firms, regulators, index providers and stock exchanges.
Factor and ESG investing
During the event, Inderpal Gujral, STOXX’s Head of Product, had a chance to present about multi-factor investing. Willem Keogh, in charge of sustainable solutions at STOXX, took part in a lively and well-attended discussion on environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategies.
Innovation and speed rewarded
Beyond structured products, our independence and smart use of data has earned us recognition in other fields. The introduction of more customized indices, artificial-intelligence stock selection and a growing range of thematic concepts has strengthened our position in recent years.
STOXX won the ‘Most Innovative Index Provider Global’ award from Capital Finance International (CFI) last December and was named ‘Index Provider of the Year’ in June by Global Investor Group. We have been named ‘Most Innovative Index Provider’ by etfexpress for seven years in a row and ‘Most Innovative ETF Index Provider in Europe’ by exchangetradedfunds.com for eighth consecutive years.
