ZURICH (June 28, 2018) – STOXX Ltd., the operator of Deutsche Boerse Group’s index business and a global provider of innovative and tradable index concepts, has won the Investment Excellence Award in the category “Index Provider of the Year”. The award was presented by Global Investor Group at their annual awards dinner in London on Wednesday.
“We are very happy to receive this award. It’s been a strong year for STOXX: one which has taken us a step further on our journey from an index provider to an Intelligent Investments Factory. Good examples for this are our unique thematic indices and most of all our recently launched STOXX AI Global Artificial Intelligence Index, which is the world’s first index that uses AI-related algorithms to select companies exposed to the artificial intelligence megatrend,” said Matteo Andreetto, chief executive officer, STOXX Limited.
The Investment Excellence Awards recognize the achievements of asset managers and associated firms such as investment consultants, fund administrators, and index providers. Each participating company had to answer a survey which included questions about key achievements of the last twelve months. Shortlisted nominations were put to a judging panel.
